Before writing the article, I wanna tell you why I decide to write down right now.

Alice, a Korean girl, of course, I know her Korean name(but I don't know how to spell, so I just write her English name here), we knew each other when we studied in language center in NY.

But why she is so special and important for me?

You will see the article I am going to write down later.

But I can tell you now, she is the only one- I could do this crazy thing that I spent 200 dollars renting a car and driving almost 10 hours from Boston to NY, and just for saying goodbye.

This is article I have to write now because I hope she could see it by the time she arrives Korean.

This is for you, my dear friend-Alice.

Do you remember the first we met and tried to chat, but we couldn't understand what other person said on campus (Adelphi University)?

That we sang in Chinese KTV, and I tried to translate whole song for you, remember?

And how about that we ate together every day after Kay, Betty, and Peggy moved out?

The day before I move out, you told to me if I went to Korean, you would treat me.

We walked to your house by feet at midnight, and I sang Chinese songs to you.

We called and talked at night, and shared feelings to each other.

You tried to cheer me up when I was depressed.

Sometimes, I shared your pain and sorrow when you missed your Korean friends and family.

And the last night before I went back Taiwan, we hugged each other and talked in front of your house, and I promised I would meet you again before you return Korean.

I guess whole things I list you remember, don't you?

You know there are many Korean students in ELS (English Language Center), but I don't know why you are my best Korean friend.

For me, I think you are kind although I usually said you are a ugly (ok, you are pretty), cunning, and bad(ok, I apologize to you, you are nice) woman(ok, you are girl).

And also you are a self-confident girl. ( But this is why I often confused why you are so confident.) This makes sense why sometimes I felt you are charming.

You are very special Korean girl because you could change yourself after other people gave you advices. For example, most of Korean people prefer Korean name to English name, but you made an English name when Kay told you why you need to have one. And you change your hair style after I said many times I don’t like it. Moreover, you like to learn and try new things. For instance, you like to live with other countries people. Everything is curious for you.

In your opinion, which hair style is better ? The hair style is not fit every Korean girl,ok! (She often argued this hair style is cute.) 

You are very smart and friendly. You learn anything fast. Besides, you treat anyone well even though he is not Korean. (As I know, most of Korean people have patriotism, and they treat foreign not well.)

I am very happy I could meet you last weekend even though most of my friends thought I was crazy and my father was very angry because I drove to NY just in order to seeing my friend, and got ride of whole school stuff. You know…this was the first time I drove so far and so long. Maybe I was mad. I don’t do it anymore. I can tell you honestly, although my girlfriend ask me to do, I don’t do this crazy thing. But I knew at that moment, I did what I said because I had already promised you. And I didn’t want to regret in my life.

I knew what your feeling was in last ten days in NY because I also had the experience. Everything seems new again for you. I still remember the day I left NY, I stood in the JFK airport and watched outside through window. I felt strange because I doubted if I lived in a dream. And then, I went aboard the airplane and slept. When the airplane arrived to Taiwan, I woke up in another world, my country. It seems everything is not true. Couple of days later, I realized all things are real, and knew the painful person wasn’t me-was a person who still lived in another side of world.

I do deeply appreciate you. We had wonderful time, enjoyed food, and shared happiness, sorrow, and pain together.

And here, I promise to you again, we will meet in future. I promise!!
